However, Taylor-Hart is yet to put pen to paper, and interest from other clubs has complicated matters.

Impressive at youth level

The England youth international starred for the Gunners at both U-18 and U-23 level. Taylor-Hart scored 11 goals and assisted five in all competitions last season.

Primarily a left-winger, Taylor-Hart has won plaudits this season for his creative ability and versatility. The youngster has played as both a no. 10 and out on the right, and should he stay, the 18-year-old could be offered first-team football with the Gunners next season.

Tying Kido Taylor-Hart down for the future

Arsenal have been panned over the years by fans and pundits for not being able to secure players down to new contracts. But in the past 12-months, they have been acting to rectify this narrative.

Club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signed a three-year deal last summer. Bukayo Saka and Folarin Balogun also committed their long-term futures with Arsenal. And the club should be aiming to do the same with Taylor-Hart.

Creative backup for next season

With Taylor-Hart attracting interest from both English and European clubs, the teenager is a player in demand.

Yet with a contract at Arsenal on the table, the Gunners should be stepping up their efforts to tie the youngster down for the future.

The winger could be an ideal backup next season for the likes of Emile Smith Rowe. And his creativity and versatility would make Taylor-Hart a player who might find himself in the first-team squad should injuries begin to pile up for Arsenal.
