Arsenal might have had a busy old summer in the transfer market so far but according to The Evening Standard, they aren’t quite done.

The Gunners have signed Marquinhos and Gabriel Jesus, while Fabio Vieira and Matt Turner have also arrived to bolster an already talented squad. However, The Evening Standard reports today that Arsenal are not done with their summer spending and are trying to off-load as many as six players to fund a new addition.

Arsenal are thought to be keen on selling Bernd Leno, Nicolas Pepe, Pablo Mari, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Hector Bellerin, and Lucas Torreira. Of course, none of those names are new to the fire-sale party but the fact the Gunners are pushing suggests they have eyes on someone else.

Mikel Arteta had been hoping to sign Raphinha from Leeds but a deal to sign the Brazilian is looking more and more unlikely as time ticks by. The Leeds star is expected to choose between Barcelona and Chelsea, who are both said to have agreed personal terms with the player.

Who that new player for Arsenal is remains to be seen. However, a move for Lucas Paqueta has been mentioned today.

Arsenal have done well this summer with their signings but you do feel their might be room for one more big-money capture to come through the door at The Emirates.

Paqueta would be a special signing. But as we know, Edu and Arteta will have a long list of names they like and like with the Vieira signing, they could pull a rabbit out of the hat.

One more big addition might do the trick for the Gunners you feel. From there, Gunners fans would be hopeful and excited of challenging for honours.
