Report: Arsenal will make near £50m bid this week for player Arteta is 'really in love' with

Arsenal are preparing to make a new offer for Leeds United winger Raphinha this week, with the Gunners expected to get closer to the £50m mark.

The Daily Mail has reported that Arsenal intend on going back to Leeds with a new offer for Raphinha after initially seeing a £30m plus add-ons bid rejected. It’s claimed the Gunners will go back with something closer to £50m as they hope to tempt Leeds.

However, The Mail also claims Leeds value Raphinha at £65m. But while they want the maximum fee for the Brazilian, they also won’t be standing in Raphinha’s way if a bid they do deem acceptable comes along. Whether or not that is the £50m Arsenal intend on coming up with, remains to be seen.

Arsenal are said to be close to signing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City and have already signed Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner.

Fabrizio Romano has previously claimed that Mikel Arteta is ‘in love’ with Raphinha and is determined to bring him to The Emirates this summer. Should Arsenal succeed, a front three of Saka, Raphinha and Jesus is quite the mouth-watering prospect for supporters.

TBR’s View: Raphinha Getting Closer To Joining Arsenal

It seems that this one is getting moving as well, just like the Gabriel Jesus deal. And what an exciting time it is to be an Arsenal fan.

Signing Raphinha would give them the sort of attacking player they’ve been missing for some time. He is dynamic, quick, and brings goals and assists to the table, as well as crowd-pleasing flair.

As touched on above, the thought of him linking up with Saka and Jesus is something for Arsenal fans to be excited about next season. Indeed, it might be their ticket to the top four, such is the impact Raphinha could make.
