Arsenal predicted lineup vs Norwich: Gabriel, Partey and Saka start
Arsenal return to Premier League action when they face Norwich at the Emirates on Saturday.
It looks to be a huge game for Mikel Arteta. Gunners fans need no reminding of where they sit in the table.
Arteta has been given some breathing space due to the number of younger players within his ranks, as well as the opposition they have faced.
But a poor performance or result against the Canaries will not sit well with disgruntled supporters. And thus, Arteta will surely name an incredibly strong side.
The good news is Arsenal appear to have received a boost on the injury front. Both £23 million star Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White are back in training.
On paper, it should be Arsenal’s strongest centre-back pairing. So it would provide a big lift if they can keep a clean sheet against Daniel Farke’s men.
There is also positive signs in midfield. Thomas Partey could be in line for his first appearance of the campaign alongside Albert Sambi Lokonga.
There are question marks over Emile Smith Rowe after he missed England’s under-21s’ clash with Kosovo this week through illness.
Five changes as Arsenal prepare for Norwich
A gamble probably does not need to be taken on Smith Rowe, with Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pepe and Martin Odegaard all potentially available for the three roles behind the striker.
Elsewhere, Calum Chambers may get the nod at right-back. It may be too soon for Takehiro Tomiyasu. Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Cedric Soares are also contenders.
With that in mind, here is our predicted lineup in full…
