Arsenal are in Premier League action against Leicester in Saturday’s early kickoff.

Mikel Arteta’s charges head to the East Midlands for the first fixture of matchweek 10 against a dangerous opponent.

Arsenal are in good form at present, boasting a run of eight games without defeat and looking much improved since the start of the season.

In addition, the Gunners have reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after beating Leeds in midweek.

Likewise, Leicester made it through to the last eight following their penalty shootout win over Brighton.

The Foxes are unbeaten in five games in all competitions and are ninth in the table, level on points with 10th-placed Arsenal.

In terms of injury news, Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Kieran Tierney, Rob Holding and Pablo Mari are doubts.

With that in mind, who could Arteta select in his Arsenal starting XI?

Aaron Ramsdale is expected to replace Bernd Leno in between the sticks.

If Tierney is out, then Arteta can opt for Nuno Tavares on the left – he has done well deputising for the Scotland international.

It’s a bit trickier regarding who could replace White.

Given Rob Holding and Pablo Mari are doubts, then Calum Chambers could potentially come in for the £120,000-a-week ace at centre-back.

Completing the back four, Takehiro Tomiyasu is likely to take over at right-back from Cedric Soares.

The midfield two is pretty straightforward – Thomas Partey and Albert Sambi Lokonga should come back in.

Further up, Arteta is likely to go for the front line that started the win over Aston Villa.

This means Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka on the flanks, Alexandre Lacazette in a hybrid nine-and-a-half role, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leading the line.

Given Arteta rang the changes in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Leeds, this means there’d be only one change from last Friday – Chambers in for White.
