Jurrien Timber is back in training for Arsenal, and the Dutchman pulled off a fantastic nutmeg on Bukayo Saka yesterday.

The Gunners welcomed Timber back from his long-term injury earlier this week. He has been a big miss for Arsenal, but he’s now back and is looking very good.

Jurrien Timber nutmegs Bukayo Saka in Arsenal training

Arsenal signed Jurrien Timber from Ajax last summer in a move that really excited fans.

The Dutch international is a hugely versatile player. He can play anywhere across the backline and in midfield, and he became an instant fan favourite after his performances in pre-season, where he was ‘on fire‘.

In his first competitive game for Arsenal on the opening day of the Premier League this season, Timber suffered a serious knee injury. He had to undergo surgery and the 22-year-old hasn’t played a game for the Gunners since.

Timber is now back on the training pitch and is closing in on a return. In the clips uploaded by Arsenal, he looks really good, and that has raised the excitement levels.

During a game of rondo in training yesterday, Timber managed to get out of the middle by blocking Bukayo Saka‘s pass. Just a few moments later, he nutmegged the Englishman brilliantly.

Arsenal fans are loving it and can’t wait to see him back in action.

Jurrien Timber’s return is huge for Arsenal

Arsenal need all the help they can get as they aim to beat both Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to win the Premier League title.

Thomas Partey is about to return on Monday, while Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira are both back. Oleksandr Zincheko and Takehiro Tomiyasu are not too far away either.

The biggest boost, however, could be Timber’s return because the Dutch international will give Mikel Arteta so many options thanks to his versatility.

If Arsenal are to go on and win the Premier League or Champions League this season, we think Timber will have a huge role to play.
