Labelled as a real indicator of where the title would end up come May, after this display it seems highly unlikely that it will be at the Emirates. Woeful in every aspect, the Gunners lacked attacking firepower, looked weak in defence and their midfield was almost non-existent. Much for Arsene Wenger to ponder after two consecutive defeats.

The Czech looked nervous and uncomfortable, completely out of character, on his return to his former club. Whilst he couldn’t have done much about either of the first two strikes, Cesc Fabregas’ goal was entirely down to his error.
