Arsenal on-loan ace Dani Ceballos has praised Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, saying he’s “learned a lot” under the tutelage of the 38-year-old.
Last summer, the Gunners brought the 23-year-old to the Emirates Stadium on a season-long stint from Real Madrid for a reported £15million fee (The Sun).
Ceballos was reportedly open to cutting short his stay in January as a result of a lack of game time under Unai Emery, but has since worked his way into Arteta’s plans.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Arsenal are interested in signing the Spaniard permanently from Real Madrid, who’d reportedly be happy to let him go for £43.5million.

Ceballos says his main desire is to break into Los Blancos’ XI but he remains committed to Arsenal for now, as well as admitting he hasn’t spoken to Zinedine Zidane since leaving the Bernabeu.
When asked if he will return to Real in the future, he told Mundo Deportivo: “Hopefully.
“I now have a contract with Arsenal. At the moment in Madrid it is difficult to play with the players there are. Now I focus on being important in this club.
“I haven’t spoken to Zidane since I left. I don’t think Zidane talks to the loan players.”
Naming Pep Guardiola as his favourite manager, Ceballos also had kind words for Arteta, the Manchester City head coach’s protégé.
“It is what I think because I identify with his way of playing, although in Arsenal in three months I have learned a lot with Mikel Arteta,” added Ceballos.
TBR View:
Ceballos has worked his way into Arsenal’s first-team plans and has started the Gunners’ last three Premier League games, impressing in a deep midfield role.
Arteta has been won over, telling The Mirror a month ago that he is “really happy” with the Spain international attacking midfielder and what he is adding to his team.
Whether Arteta would want his signature on a permanent basis remains to be seen, but given the Spanish coach is a great man-manager and has already worked wonders with Ceballos, there could yet be much more untapped potential.
And with Real reportedly being willing to part ways with Ceballos, it’s now up to Arsenal to make a decision, though with the uncertain economic situation, there could be a lot of negotiating table wranglings in order to get a good deal.
