Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona winger Ansu Fati next summer, with the youngster facing an uncertain future.
Fati is currently on loan with Brighton and Hove Albion but is expected to attract interest in the summer window in 2024.
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal and Liverpool are among the teams looking into signing Fati.
Of course, Fati has long been considered one of the top talents in Europe. Lauded by Lionel Messi as an ‘amazing‘ talent, the 21-year-old is hoping for a big season with Brighton.
And when it comes to Arsenal’s interest, they can take heart from the fact that legendary midfielder Santi Cazorla has been more than impressed with Fati in the past.
Santi Cazorla would approve of Arsenal signing Ansu Fati
Speaking back in 2019 about a then 16-year-old Fati, former Gunners midfielder Cazorla was very impressed with what he’d seen from Fati so far.
“I am not surprised that Ansu Fati can go to the Euros, I am surprised by the level he is showing at the age of 16. Age doesn’t matter. If the coach considers to call him up, it would be welcomed,” Cazorla said at the time.

Indeed, it very much seems like Fati is a talent waiting to burst out from the seams and truly show off his ability.
So far at Brighton, he has shown flashes of his quality but nothing to suggest he is going to take the Premier League by storm.
Of course, a change of club and the chance to work with a team like Arsenal, who are flying again, could well be what brings Fati very much to the top table.
Right now, though, you have to think Fati needs to show a bit more before getting that sort of move. In fairness to him, Brighton’s inconsistent form hasn’t helped.
But Fati can do far more and if he wants to sign for someone like Arsenal, he needs to deliver.
