Arsenal are reportedly unlikely to move for Ivan Toney this month, with Brentford demanding £80m for the England international.
The 27-year-old striker has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this January, with Arsenal looking to sign a top centre-forward to lead Mikel Arteta’s attacking line.
However, options are limited this month, with Toney emerging as one of the more realistic targets for Arsenal in their quest to sign a striker in the transfer window.

And according to ESPN, Arsenal are now unlikely to move for Toney, with Brentford unwilling to sell their star forward this month despite not being available for the entire season.
With an asking price of £80m, Arsenal are now set to look elsewhere in their search for a new striker, with Toney now set to stay in west London with the Bees.
Indeed, Toney’s future this season always looked set to be at Brentford, and Arsenal’s latest stance seems to confirm that the England international will remain with Thomas Frank’s side.
Arsenal are making the right decision on Ivan Toney

Toney’s record last season would have made the Brentford star a leading striker for many of the Premier League’s biggest and best sides.
Yet for Arsenal, the England international’s style of play and age don’t line up with what Arteta is looking for in a new star attacker for his north London side.
As a result, Arsenal are making the right decision in choosing not to pursue Toney this month, with the Gunners yet to find their perfect option to lead the line heading into 2024.
