Arsenal haven’t dipped too much into their transfer kitty so far this summer.
The Gunners’ only signing so far has been Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea, but there’s plenty more where that came from it would seem.
Martin Zubimendi is set to sign for Arsenal, while Viktor Gyokeres has been linked too.
Eberechi Eze is also a key Arsenal target, and according to Ben Jacobs, speaking on TalkSPORT, this deal is set to accelerate.
Indeed, the journalist says that Arsenal staff have already pitched their project to Eze, noting that he believes a bid from the north London club is now imminent as the Gunners look to bring in a blockbuster attacking addition.

Arsenal set to bid for Eberechi Eze
Arsenal are going to place a bid for Eze in the near future according to Jacobs.
The journalist says that Arsenal may have to find a way around paying the current structure of the player’s release clause, but a bid is inbound.
“With Eze, he’s keen on a move, no doubt about that, and there was a meeting over the weekend where senior staff from Arsenal were present pitching to Eze,” Jacobs said.
“There has been no bid yet and that may add a complication. My understanding is that the release clause, the mechanism to trigger it is complicated, a bit like Michael Olise. Arsenal want to go below the clause or a different structure around the clause.
“I do think we will get a situation where Arsenal will place a bid, I don’t think this will go away.”
Eberechi Eze’s record vs Arsenal
Arsenal pitched their project to Eze over the weekend, but Eze himself will have known full well heading into that meeting exactly what Mikel Arteta has been building at the Emirates.
Indeed, Eze has seen first-hand just how brilliant this Arsenal team are in recent years.
Crystal Palace have managed to cause some huge clubs some massive problems in recent years – even winning the FA Cup last season, but Eze has never managed to get anything going against Arsenal.
| Eberechi Eze’s record vs Arsenal | |
| Games | 7 |
| Wins | 0 |
| Draws | 2 |
| Losses | 5 |
| Eberechi Eze goals | 1 |
Eze has never won a game against the Gunners, and he’s only scored one goal in seven outings against the north London club.
That said, Eze has been described as ‘world class’ in the past.
In all honesty, Eze may be keen to make this move if only to avoid ever playing against Arsenal again, as he’s always had a very tough time against Mikel Arteta’s men.
