Zinedine Zidane believes that Real Madrid would have won the title had they kept Martin Odegaard rather than loaned him out to Arsenal, according to a report from Defensa Central.
While Manchester City have wrapped up the Premier League, the La Liga title race could be about to go down to the wire.

Atletico Madrid are in the driving seat with a four-point lead over Barcelona. Los Blancos meanwhile, are five back – but they do have a game in hand.
It appears that they may have left their move a little too late and may come up agonisingly short. And what will make it worse is that Zidane seemingly believes that Real had the player in the ranks who would have seen them across the line.

According to Defensa Central, Zidane now thinks that they would have been champions had they not loaned Odegaard out in January.
TBR View: Zidane stance unlikely to do Arsenal any favours this summer
It always appeared that Arsenal may face an uphill battle to keep Odegaard beyond his loan. When he has been at his best, he has looked like an outstanding signing for the Gunners.
It would be little surprise if they asked about signing him permanently this summer. But hearing what difference Zidane believes he could have made will do them few favours.
The Real boss’ stance will surely make it less likely that Odegaard leaves in the coming months – unless he perhaps makes it clear that he wants to go.
