Arsenal must tie down Daley-Campbell before Bundesliga clubs poach him
Vontae Daley-Campbell is the latest English player to be linked with a move to the Bundesliga.
According to The London Evening Standard, Arsenal defender Daley-Campbell is attracting attention from Schalke and Red Bull Leipzig, as well as Italian duo Atalanta and Sassuolo.
Daley-Campbell is a promising young right-back, who has drawn comparisons with Kyle Walker.
With speed, strength and the ability to bomb up and down the right flank, Daley-Campbell has the potential to become a solid first-choice right-back or wing-back at Arsenal.
But the Gunners must ensure that their talented teenager is tied down to fend off interest from abroad.
Owing to the success of Jadon Sancho and Arsenal starlet Reiss Nelson in the Bundesliga, there is now a two-way love affair with this type of move.
Young British players are more attracted to the idea of going abroad with first-team opportunities more clear-cut.
And Bundesliga sides are enjoying tapping into the Premier League’s finest young talent.
Having lost a few players to overseas clubs, such as Marcus McGuane and Stephy Mavididi, Arsenal must ensure that Daley-Campbell does not end up leaving too.
The 17-year-old is a regular for Arsenal’s youth sides and he could continue his rise all the way into the first-team in the next few years.
This is why Arsenal must act quickly to prevent him from being poached.
