Arsenal midfielder Tim Akinola has undergone successful surgery on an ankle injury.
The Gunners academy graduate joined Dundee United on loan in the January transfer window.
However, Akinola played only 45 minutes for the Tangerines before suffering the injury in training.
The 20-year-old returned to Arsenal for observation and treatment last month.
On Monday, Akinola took to Instagram with a post-operation update on his stories.
The Hale End talent confirmed that his surgery was successful and that he’d be “back soon”.

Akinola made just one appearance for Dundee, starting in February’s 0-0 draw against St Johnstone.
In March, manager Tam Courts admitted the Arsenal man wasn’t likely to play for them again this term.
“Tim had a training ground knock and went down to get that scanned with Arsenal,” explained Courts.
“It looks like he has to do rehab there. I don’t actually think we’ll see him playing for us again this season.”
It’s a shame that Akinola could be out for a while, as he was progressing really well this term.
The Gunners talent had made 15 appearances for Kevin Betsy’s side at Under-23 level.
Akinola had been doing so well that the Arsenal coaches earmarked for him to go out on loan.
However, it’s good to hear his surgery was successful and fingers crossed he makes a speedy recovery.
