Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid outcast Mariano Diaz for just £18 million this summer, according to a report by The Mirror.
The 25-year-old endured a difficult campaign during 2018/19. A series of niggling injuries restricted him to just three La Liga starts.
In 22 outings for the Spanish giants, he managed just four goals and now looks surplus to requirements.
The striker looks to be sold during the transfer window with Arsenal sounded out as a potential destination.

The Gunners’ boss Unai Emery will work with a limited transfer budget during the window, having failed to reach the Champions League (Daily Mail).
Diaz was impressive for Lyon during the 2017/18 campaign, with his form earning him the move to the Bernabeu. His 21 goals and six assists offered hope that he could become a hit with Real Madrid.
The move hasn’t worked out, however, with Diaz now seemingly offered to Arsenal for a reasonable sum.
TBR Verdict
Diaz would certainly be an interesting signing for Arsenal.
He was in red hot form for Lyon the season prior to last but his injury problems at Real Madrid could provide cause for concern.
Unai Emery must get his recruitment right this summer with the restricted budget reportedly in place following the failure to reach the Champions League.
Given that every single penny must be spent wisely, it seems odd that £18 million would be splashed out on a striker.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette were in devastating form last season, becoming arguably the most feared pairing in the Premier League.
Arsenal have a more desperate need for defenders, whilst a winger or two wouldn’t go amiss either.
Diaz has proven previously during his career that he can play but is he really what Arsenal need right now?
The jury remains out…
