Arsenal secured their first competitive victory under Unai Emery at the weekend, overcoming West Ham to clinch a 3-1 win at the Emirates Stadium.
While the first-team begin their resurgence, many other players on the club’s books are looking to make an impression away on loan. Here’s how they fared in the latest round of matches.
Matt Macey – Plymouth Argyle
A day to forget for the young goalkeeper as he conceded five in a 5-1 defeat to Peterborough United, which means he continues to wait for his first clean sheet in League One despite playing five league matches for his loan side.
Takuma Asano – Hannover 96
The Japan international made his Bundesliga debut for Hannover in a 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen, playing 75 minutes. However, he finished the match with a rating of just 5.91 on Whoscored – the lowest in the team.
Calum Chambers – Fulham
Came off the bench for the final 20 minutes of the dramatic 3-2 win over Burnley, putting in a solid display.
Krystian Bielik – Charlton Athletic
Played the entire 90 minutes of Charlton’s goalless draw with Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town. Has been a regular for the Addicks so far this term.
Kelechi Nwakali – Porto B
Nwakali continues to find things difficult in Portugal, coming off the bench for the final 22 minutes of a 2-0 defeat to FC Penafiel.
David Ospina – Napoli
Had his blushes saved from his team-mates in Naples after conceding two early goals against AC Milan, although Napoli fought back to clinch a 3-2 victory.
