Arsenal fans react as club is linked with move for Liverpool ace Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana has been linked with a move to Arsenal during the summer when his Liverpool contract expires.

The Daily Mail claims that several clubs are interested in securing his services, with Tottenham, Leicester and West Ham also in the race.

The 31-year-old doesn’t look like earning an extension to his current Anfield deal.

It will see the midfielder depart after six years at the club, having arrived for £25 million in 2014 (Daily Mail).

Arsenal’s interest in the player is interesting.

It was reported this week that Mikel Arteta wants ball-playing midfielders signed in the summer (Express).

Lallana would fit the billing. The fact he hasn’t been a regular at Liverpool for some time might underwhelm some supporters, however.

The versatile player has 34 England caps to his name and has been a decent servant to Liverpool.

He has helped them to two Champions League finals, winning one and has made 175 appearances for the Reds.

Following news of Arsenal’s interest, their supporters have taken to Twitter.

It’s fair to say that most of them don’t fancy the £150,000-a-week performer at the Emirates.

Some don’t think the link will come to anything but have reacted nonetheless.
