Arsenal-linked teenager Samuel Chukwueze destroys Barcelona with sublime performance

La Liga side Villarreal have a real talent on their hands with teenage winger Samuel Chukwueze. And Barcelona found this out the hard way on Tuesday night.

In the league clash between Villarreal and Barcelona, which ended in an entertaining 4-4 draw, Chukwueze scored and caused problems all afternoon.

Chukwueze has been a long-term target for Arsenal, who were again linked with him back in late December 2018 (Football Live Nigeria).

But a move failed to materialise and the Gunners might regret missing out on him if his stock continues to rise.

The 19-year-old was in excellent form against Barcelona on Tuesday night, scoring a goal and providing an assist before coming off in the 88th minute.

Chukwueze had a pass completion rate of over 80 per cent, as well as completing three dribbles and drawing two fouls (stats via Who Scored).

The Nigeria international’s goal and assist took his season tally to seven goals and three assists in 27 matches, which is an impressive tally considering it is his first season in La Liga.

Chukwueze has all the ingredients to become a success at the highest level and his potential is frightening.

Arsenal should consider reigniting their interest in the lively winger before other big clubs begin to pounce.
