Reported Arsenal target Emil Roback has been praised for his “extreme speed and elegance” by Hammarby sporting director Jasper Jansson, in quotes reported by Fotboll Direkt.
Earlier this year, Jansson told the Swedish outlet that Roback, a 17-year-old forward, had travelled to England to hold talks over a move with the Gunners.
Football London said Roback – a Sweden Under-17 international also believed to be on the radar of Bayern Munich – was given a tour of Arsenal’s London Colney training base.
Although the global health crisis has led to disruption in the football industry, the Hammarby official has suggested that interest in the 6ft 1in teenager is growing during this period.

“It is true that there are several clubs that show interest. We are clearly aware of the interest,” he explains, albeit pointing out that there are no official bids on the table just yet.
“(Roback has) extreme speed and elegance. He has a gift – the X-factor.”
TBR View:
Arsenal have long been known as a side which unearths and develops gems, with the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie having burst onto the scene after joining the Gunners.
More recently, the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah have broken into the first team, so it would make sense for Roback to join the Emirates Stadium side, where he stands a good chance of making a breakthrough.
Admittedly, it may be a little while before he gets consistent first team action, with stints in the Under-18s, Under-23s and perhaps an EFL loan on the cards first, but Arsenal is one of the best places he could learn the ropes.
