Arsenal-linked 28-year-old forward has made claim about his future
Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha has given an honest interview about his future at Selhurst Park, claiming that he’s “good enough” to join one of the top teams and compete for trophies.
Zaha, who earns £130,000-a-week (Spotrac), has had an amazing career with Palace so far, and he’s just eight games short of 400 appearances for them.
The 28-year-old attacker has consistently been their standout individual most years, with the ability to change a game on his own with dazzling bits of skill exciting supporters.
Zaha has remarkably gone on record though to say that in the future he wouldn’t turn down a move if the right opportunity came about.
This comment comes after Arsenal were linked with his signature last month. 90 min reported in April that the Gunners are keen on trying to bring the Ivorian speedster to the Emriates Stadium.
“I feel like I can have another shot at the top teams, because my dream is to win things,’ Zaha told The Face.
“I’m good enough to go out there and compete with the best. If the opportunity came, I wouldn’t turn it down, because I feel like I deserve it. It’s so I can show my kids: ‘This is what daddy won’.”
Arsenal may not have behaved like an elite outfit in recent years, but there is no doubt they are still one of the world’s largest clubs in the world with a gigantic fanbase behind them.
Zaha has always been an intriguing player, as each window he’s stayed with Palace despite massive transfer speculation.
If he is to have a real crack at one of the English giants, surely he’s got to move at the end of the season due to the fact he’s now 28.
