Arsenal have been given a major boost in their pursuit of RB Salzburg midfielder, Dominik Szoboszlai, with reports emerging about the release clause in the 19-year-old’s contract.
According to Sempre Milan (via La Repubblica), the Gunners have found out that Szoboszlai could be available for as little as £21m this summer.
Reports claim his release clause is set at just 24m Euros. Furthermore, in what is even better news for the Gunners, it is believed that clause can be paid in three instalments. This, of course, is obviously ideal for Arsenal given they are unlikely to be spending massive sums this summer.
And while AC Milan are apparently keen on luring the Hungarian to Italy, it is Arsenal who are interested when it comes to the Premier League. Indeed, the Sun claimed yesterday that the Gunners were already in ‘advanced talks’ to sign the midfielder.
Szoboszlai has been in fine form all season. He caught the eye just this week, though, playing a part in four goals as Salzburg hammered Rapid Vienna 7-2.
Arsenal have to act and beat Milan here, Szoboszlai is too good to turn down – TBR View
Arsenal are featuring prominently in our transfer stories at the moment but when it comes to Szoboszlai, this is a player who they can’t pass up on.
The Hungarian is young, talented, and is already proving himself despite his teenage years. At just over £20m, it’s hard to see Arsenal getting anyone as good through the door for such a fee.
Mikel Arteta will, then, be desperate for his board to back him quickly. Goals and assists from midfield are needed at The Emirates and with Mesut Ozil still not guaranteed to stay, Szoboszlai could be the ideal capture.
