Arsenal have been told they must fork out £17.2 million if they want to sign Christopher Nkunku this summer, as reported by The Evening Standard.
The Gunners attempted to sign the Frenchman on loan in January but struggled get a deal over the line.
They instead opted to sign Denis Suarez from Barcelona, who has endured a torrid time at the Emirates having made just six appearances for the club. The Spaniard confirmed on Monday that he is not out for the rest of the season with a groin injury.

Nkunku has enjoyed a bit more game time since the close of the January transfer window – eight league appearances to be precise.
The player’s contract will expire in the summer of 2020, which is seemingly the reason behind PSG’s openness to a sale.
TBR’s view
Unai Emery knows Nkunku very well of course having managed the French champions before pitching up in north London.
The Spaniard was the man to bring Nkunku up through the youth ranks and into the first team, so he knows full well the kind of qualities he possesses.

£17.2 million for a mobile and versatile central midfielder seems like a decent deal, especially given his potential.
The Suarez deal failed miserably and it would be a huge shock if the Gunners opted to make his move permanent.
Nkunku is player who needs a move and Arsenal are a club in need of a midfielder with a bit of zip about them – for £17.2 million, it could be a shrewd long-term investment.
