Arsenal are keen on signing Peruvian wonderkid Jhilmar Lora in the summer, with the right-back among a number of South American talents being tracked by the Gunners.
Reports a few days ago emerged to suggest he was a name on the list of Arsenal’s scouting team. And according to Football.London, Lora is indeed a player the Gunners are tracking ahead of making a move in the summer.
Lora, who has been described as ‘excellent’ by the Peru manager, is said to among a host of players Arsenal are tracking on the continent of South America. It’s a place where a number of Premier League clubs are looking at the moment. Indeed, we saw Manchester City sign Kayky last year.

But it is Lora who is now attracting attention. The Peruvian 21-year-old recently earned rave reviews for his efforts against a certain Lionel Messi. Of course, that sort of performance will always attract attention from far and wide.
Arsenal are thought to be keen on signing a new full-back with Takehiro Tomiyasu’s injury problems this last few months highlighting it as a bit of a problem position. As we all know, Arsenal are also keen on adding a top striker to the ranks.
TBR’s View: Arsenal And Lora Could Well Work Out
Lora fits the mould for Arsenal really in terms of their recruitment. A young player with plenty of upside who Mikel Arteta can work on the training pitch with.
But he is already at a good level himself to play now. You don’t play for Peru at 21 if you’re not a quality player and that’s why Arsenal will be keen.
