After their negotiations to sign Italy’s Riccardo Calafiori, it seems Arsenal are now interested in signing a huge young talent at Copa America.
Edu and his team will be working relentlessly behind the scenes to ensure that Mikel Arteta’s squad is sufficiently strengthened this summer.
And to that end, it seems as if both Euro 2024 and Copa America are working as excellent tools for Arsenal to confirm some of their scouting conclusions from last season.
Arsenal must have been interested in Calafiori before the Euros began, and his ability was then only further demonstrated in Germany.
The Italian could definitely strengthen Arteta’s options at the back, perhaps envisioned to dove-tail with Jurrien Timber at left-back.
That being said, Arsenal’s business certainly won’t stop there, and Edu is also thought to be on the hunt for a midfielder and a new forward.
And more than ever, it seems as if the Gunners are back in the market to sign Europe’s best youngsters, now feeling Arteta’s project is ready to afford game time to such talents.
Arsenal tracking Watford winger Yaser Asprilla who is at Copa America with Colombia
To that end, Arsenal are now said to be interested in 20-year-old Watford winger Yaser Asprilla.
Asprilla is currently at Copa America with Colombia and the Mirror are now reporting that Arsenal are interested in the £15m-rated talent.

In Sunday’s printed edition (07/07, page 72), Arsenal are said to be tracking Asprilla along with Everton.
Asprilla made 44 appearances for Watford in the Championship last season scoring six goals and registering seven assists.
And perhaps in a similar fashion to Bukayo Saka, Asprilla is said to be an ‘explosive’ right-winger who likes to cut inside onto his left foot.
The £15m price tag mentioned does seem cheap for such a talent, but the report explains that Asprilla now only has 12-months left on his Warford contract.
The Colombian ‘wonderkid‘ is thought to have rich potential, and could perhaps be a very cost-effective signing for Arsenal this summer, who could part with big fees elsewhere.
Many Arsenal fans may still hope that Arteta is provided with a new striker this summer.
And to that end, Declan Rice has now sent a two-word message to a forward linked with Arsenal of late.
