Arsenal are in talks with Fiorentina over a deal which would see Lucas Torreira turn his loan move into a permanent one during the summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Fiorentina are more than happy with Torreira and will seek to turn his temporary move into a permanent one in a few months. He claims that talks are already underway between the clubs, with Arsenal open to a move which could see them bring in around £13m.
There is a clause in the loan agreement anyway for that fee and with Fiorentina happy with Torreira, Arsenal are willing to do the deal to help bring funds into the club. Romano also claims that with the sale of Guendouzi to Marseille, that Arsenal will bring in over £20m to boost the kitty.

Torreira has spent the last few seasons away on loan and a move away from London has always looked likely. But he has settled well in Serie A in Florence and now it seems a formality. For Arsenal, adding to their budget will give them that little bit more leeway when it comes to the summer.
The Kroenke’s are expected to back Mikel Arteta in the summer with some big signings.
TBR’s View: Natural End For Arsenal And Torreira
This was always going to come but it’s good news for both Arsenal and Lucas Torreira. The player gets a move to a club he is more than happy with and Arsenal boost their transfer chest for the summer.
Ultimately, it’s never quite worked out for Torreira in North London and this move always seemed likely eventually.
For Arteta, it is simply a bonus. He gets more money, frees up a squad place, and doesn’t have to worry about a fringe player occupying any more of the club’s time. All in all, this is a good deal for everyone.
