Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin missed a large chunk of the 2018/19 campaign after suffering a serious knee injury which curtailed his season.

He is now nearing full fitness, however, and will be like a new signing to Gunners boss Unai Emery this season.

Bellerin revealed to the club’s official website that he helped Arsenal complete the loan signing of Dani Ceballos.

The pair have played together with the Spain Under-21s and Bellerin admits he convinced the Real Madrid man to commit to Arsenal for the 2019/20 campaign.

Ceballos signed on the dotted line yesterday, according to the club’s official website.

The 22-year-old lost his way somewhat at the Bernabeu and Arsenal fans will hope to see his form from the Under-21 European Championships, where Ceballos helped Spain to the title.

The £110,000-a-week star (Spotrac) took to Twitter following the announcement of Ceballos, tweeting:

The right-back clearly likes playing alongside Ceballos and he will hope to return from fitness quickly to play in the same team as him once again.

Naturally, Bellerin’s tweet got Arsenal fans excited at what the future might hold and started replying to the 24-year-old.
