Arsenal must move heaven and earth to land £33m-rated star - TBR View

Arsenal have turned a mini corner during the 2021/22 campaign and yesterday they were linked with a move for Noa Lang.

The Gunners started the season with three straight defeats, failing to score in each of the losses.

Since then they’ve won three and drawn one and even ensured bragging rights with a win over Tottenham.

As we head through October and into November the transfer links will become rife.

With some gaps in the squad still to plug, Arsenal will undoubtedly be linked with several players.

Lang is an interesting and more crucially, exciting link to say the least.

During the past week, he has made his first two appearances for Holland and the future looks desperately bright.

Following his performances over the past week, he has been likened to Robin van Persie by former Holland player Pierre van Hooijdonk.

The 22-year-old is catching the eye in the Belgian league. He has scored four goals and claimed four assists from 13 appearances during 2021/22.

Lang can operate on either flank, as a number 10, or through the middle spearheading the attack.

Voetbal 24 claims that Lang is valued at £33 million, with Arsenal likely to test the water at £25 million.

Future star: Arsenal can’t miss out on Lang deal

Signing Lang has become a necessity for Arsenal. Edu has faced a backlash from supporters over some deals but this could silence his critics.

At 22, Lang is just getting started. He was bombed out of Ajax after a disagreement with Erik ten Hag and he’ll relish the chance to move to a top European league.

The versatile forward is almost certain to leave in the near future. He almost signed for Leeds during the summer and Marcelo Bielsa is likely to remain keen.

Arsenal do have some good forward players but perhaps another with the versatility of Lang would be ideal.

Nicolas Pepe hasn’t really proved his worth at the club, whilst Alexandre Lacazette could leave during the summer.

As a result, signing Lang looks like a no-brainer and Arsenal can’t afford to delay with this one.
