Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp believes Arsenal newcomer Ben White “will be a fantastic defender”.
However, he also urged the Gunners fanbase to be patient with him amid the club’s early-season issues.
In July, Arsenal signed White from Brighton for a reported £50million.

The 23-year-old penned a five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium, with the option of a sixth year.
On Sky Sports, Redknapp discussed some of the Premier League’s most high-profile signings in the window so far.
Of White, he said: “He can’t save Arsenal on his own and Arsenal fans are going to need patience with him.
“He’s not necessarily a leading centre-back, he’s a player who plays alongside someone who will go and head the ball and he’ll sweep up beside him.
“But have patience because he will be a fantastic defender.

“He’s young and the pressure at Arsenal is immense right now, but he is one for the long term.”
Redknapp added that the Gunners “need more than Ben White to save this club at the moment.”
White has made one competitive appearance so far for the north Londoners, playing in the Premier League opening-day defeat to Brentford.
He didn’t feature in the losses to Chelsea and Manchester City following a positive covid test.
