Arsenal are one of the teams to have examined the availability of Kylian Mbappe as the forward prepares to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.

Kylian Mbappe has put a number of teams on alert by deciding that he will leave Parc des Princes as a free agent this summer.

For some time, it has appeared that Mbappe’s most likely move would be to Real Madrid. And The Times does report that there has been an offer on the table from Los Blancos which the Frenchman’s representatives would like to see improved.

Intriguingly, the report adds that Mbappe is exploring his options in the Premier League, too.

And according to The Times, Arsenal are one of the sides to have looked into his situation. Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea have also taken an interest.

Deal seems unlikely, but Gunners right to explore potential move

It would be one of the most staggering pieces of business if one of the English sides could find a way to land Mbappe. Ultimately, he is one of the very best players in the world right now. And he is only just approaching what should be the peak of his career.

Despite his contract situation with PSG, he will surely not come cheap. And given how much speculation there has been between him and Real Madrid, most fans will surely be expecting him to end up at the Bernabeu.

However, it is interesting that there are links with clubs such as Arsenal.

Perhaps it is a way to tempt Real Madrid to improve their offer. But the Gunners have apparently looked into making a move. So they obviously, at least felt that there may have been something there for them.

Mbappe would apparently be willing to join Arsenal to emulate Thierry Henry.

It is the kind of deal which would make clubs rip up everything they have been working on ahead of the window. But you could understand why supporters may not be getting at all carried away with the links at this stage.
