Arsenal have made “strong contact” with Ruben Neves, according to Duncan Castles.
But the Gunners aren’t the only club apparently after the Wolves midfielder.
Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Manchester United are also rumoured to be in pursuit of the 24-year-old.

Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Castles claimed the Molineux outfit wants £50million for his signature.
However, “there’s a feeling” that the price for the Portugal international could go as low as £40million, he added.
“My guidance is that they’re asking [for] £50million at the moment, with Arsenal already having made quite strong contact with Wolves and with Neves about the deal,” said Castles.
“You have Manchester United also in the market for a defensive midfielder, and there’s a feeling that the price might go as low as £40million.”

Neves joined Wolves from Porto in 2017 for a reported £15.8million fee.
He quickly gained cult hero status by helping the club to promotion from the Championship into the Premier League.
Neves has clocked up 176 appearances in old gold, registering 20 goals and 10 assists, as well as 22 Portugal caps.
Gianluca Di Marzio claimed earlier in July that Neves was Arsenal’s first choice to replace Granit Xhaka.
