Report: Arsenal have now agreed personal terms with 'incredible' player, Edu just needs to agree a fee
Arsenal might be getting ready to announce a deal for Gabriel Jesus but they have also agreed personal terms to sign Youri Tielemans, should they wish to sign him.
The Gunners have been very active this summer and have added the likes of Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos to the ranks, while an announcement for Gabriel Jesus is said to be close. However, they are still looking to add more new faces if they can and one of the names mentioned all summer has been Youri Tielemans.
And according to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs, the Gunners have agreed personal terms to sign Tielemans if they wish to pursue a deal.
“Arsenal have put in a heck of a lot of work into Tielemans. They’ve agreed personal terms, and their talks with Tielemans date back for the best part of a year,” Jacobs told GiveMeSport.
“But for whatever reason, Arsenal have decided not to swoop just yet and actually table a bid with Leicester City. And if they do so, and agree a fee at the lowest end £25 million, at the highest end £32 million, they will get Youri Tielemans.”
Jacobs’ comments on Tielemans come just a few days after he spoken of the Belgian’s preference to sign for Arsenal over Manchester United.
TBR’s View: Tielemans The Icing On The Cake For Arsenal
Once Gabriel Jesus is announced, any more signings after that will be a huge bonus for the club and Youri Tielemans would be the icing on the cake.
The Belgian is a class act and has proven himself time and again with Leicester. He turned up as well in the big FA Cup final to deliver and would instantly improve this Arsenal squad.
Should Arsenal get this deal over the line, then it would represent a fine summer.
