Arsenal academy striker Mika Biereth continues to dazzle for the Gunners Under-23s.

And on Friday, Biereth delivered in a key PL2 game – the north London derby against rivals Tottenham.

The Denmark youth international got an assist and forced an own goal as Arsenal ran out 2-1 winners over Spurs.

Kevin Betsy’s young Gunners took the lead at Meadow Park after just 17 minutes.

Biereth dispossessed Matthew Craig and bore down on goal.

He could’ve gone for goal, but instead he unselfishly squared for Marcelo Flores to tap into the empty net.

Just seven minutes later, Biereth played a huge part in getting Arsenal’s second.

Flores fired a low cross from the left towards Biereth at the near post.

Tobi Omole, under pressure from the Gunners ace, deflected the ball into the roof of the Spurs net.

The visitors pulled a goal back through Alfie Devine on 32 minutes and could’ve easily got more in the second half.

However, Arsenal stopper Hubert Graczyk was in inspired form, keeping out multiple Tottenham efforts.

The Gunners also finished with a man advantage as Craig picked up a red card in the 73rd minute.

It proved a crucial win for Arsenal besides bragging rights, as it stopped a run of three games without a win.

Biereth was actually absent for the Gunners’ last two PL2 games, testament to how much he makes the team better.

Fans have previously compared him to Eduardo da Silva, Fernando Torres and Antoine Griezmann.

And with Eddie Nketiah likely to leave Arsenal in summer, surely Biereth will be first-team bound next term.
