Arsenal give injury update on Gabriel Martinelli, expected back end of December
Arsenal have confirmed that forward Gabriel Martinelli will be back out on the grass before the end of 2020, with the Gunners hopeful he will play an under-23 match in December.
The club have updated their official website with their squad injury update ahead of this week’s clash with Rapid Vienna.

Among the injury problems at the club are the likes of Thomas Partey and Pablo Mari. Both players are still missing but it is the news on Martinelli which will have caught the attention of Gunners fans.
The Brazilian has been missing for a long period after initially impressing when given first-team chances. His return will, in essence, be like the club getting a new signing over the line if he is to make a full comeback in January.

Given Arsenal’s lack of goals and creativity this season, Martinelli’s return will be a huge bonus for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal have a lot of young players on the books with a lot of talent but Martinelli seems to be the one at the head of the pack in terms of the impact he can have in the immediate future.
He was excellent at times last year and earlier on in 2020 so his return is a massive bonus.
With big new signings unlikely in January, getting a player back in the fold like Martinelli is going to be very hand indeed for the Gunners.
