Arsenal forward shares Instagram story suggesting Granit Xhaka hurt him in training

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette has shared a picture on his Instagram story suggesting Granit Xhaka went a little hard on him in training.

Mikel Arteta’s charges have been preparing ahead of Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal will be eager to get back to winning ways, having lost against Aston Villa and Wolves in their last two games.

And judging by Lacazette’s picture of his foot with a hole through his sock and what appears to be a little blood, Xhaka hasn’t been holding back.

Luckily, the Frenchman’s post – as shared on Twitter by LTArsenal – is tongue-in-cheek, suggesting he’s fine and should be alright for Sunday’s game against Marcelo Bielsa’s charges.

Lacazette has been doing well for the Gunners this season, with 10 goals and three assists from 27 appearances in all competitions, and has not been benched in the league since mid-December.

Likewise, Xhaka is firmly in Arteta’s plans, having played the full 90 minutes in Arsenal’s last nine league games – he missed the prior games against Southampton and Everton due to suspension.
