'Absolute engine', 'what Arsenal need': Some fans hail reported Gunners target's display for his country
Arsenal fans have been raving about Rodrigo De Paul’s latest international display amid links with the Gunners.
According to Tutto Udinese, Arsenal are monitoring the Argentine’s situation at the Italian club.
Mikel Arteta is reportedly weighing up new options in midfield ahead of the next Premier League season.
Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard were only on loan at Arsenal and are now back at Real Madrid.
Arsenal could potentially also lose Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi and Ainsley Maitland-Niles amid exit links.
Therefore, Arsenal could certainly do with keeping tabs on midfield targets this summer and prepare approaches.
“Lacks absolutely nothing”
A versatile and talented player with plenty of experience at the highest level, De Paul is a cut above at Udinese.
To date he has made 184 appearances, registering 34 goals and 36 assists, and surely it won’t be long before he’s on the move.
“He lacks absolutely nothing, he could play in any club in the world,” his former boss Julio Velazquez told Gazzetta Dello Sport, via Tuttomercatoweb.
“He has also improved on the defensive level and in attack he improves the team.”
Arsenal fans are keen on De Paul
De Paul was in Copa America action for Argentina on Monday night.
He delivered a decent and hardworking, albeit somewhat unspectacular, display against Chile.
Argentina could only pick up a 1-1 draw against their opponents but Arsenal fans nonetheless liked what they saw from De Paul.
