Arsenal supporters were left disgruntled on Twitter on Tuesday night as the Gunners suffered a disappointing 1-0 win to Aston Villa at Villa Park – and Gunners fans want Eddie Nketiah to go back to Leeds United.

The Gunners failed to produce a shot-on target throughout the entire match as they suffered defeat to Dean Smith’s side, with Nketiah remaining on the field of play for the entire 90 minutes.

Nketiah, 21, has scored four goals in 15 games this season for Arsenal since returning to the club from Leeds United – where he spent the first half of the season on loan. He had netted five in 19 at Elland Road.

An England Under-21 international with eight goals in eight caps, Nketiah was applauded for his performances during the second half of the campaign – but he has managed just one goal since the restart in eight outings.

Leeds are expected to be in the market for a new striker this summer, as they look to provide Patrick Bamford with competition after Jean-Kevin Augustin failed to do so since his loan move from RB Leipzig.

Arsenal fans reacted to Nketiah’s display and were clearly frustrated. Many think he would benefit from joining Leeds this summer, whether that is on loan or on a permanent basis.
