Arsenal have been boosted ahead of tonight’s game with Newcastle United by the return to full training of Gabriel Martinelli.

The Brazilian youngster rolled his ankle in the warm-up ahead of Arsenal’s game against the Magpies in the FA Cup.

Arsenal take on Steve Bruce’s struggling side tonight looking to return to winning ways.

The Gunners were held to a disappointing 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace on Thursday and Mikel Arteta will be keen to kick on.

Martinelli has made three appearances this season and will be keen to get more minutes under his belt this evening.

The 19-year-old burst onto the scene last season following a £6 million arrival from Ituano.

He scored 10 goals and registered four assists for the Gunners before a knee injury struck.

Arsenal have struggled for both goals and a creative spark during the current campaign.

In Martinelli, Arteta has a player who, on his day, is capable of bringing both to the team.

His return should provide a welcome boost and a place on the bench looks like being his this evening.

The Arsenal supporters are certainly happy and they can’t wait to see him in action again.

Here is what the Gunners fan base are saying about the return of the £90,000-a-week Martinelli.
