Arsenal face Dundalk in the Europa League on Thursday night looking to get back to winning ways after defeat to Leicester City and supporters want Emile Smith Rowe to start.
The young attack-minded midfielder is yet to feature during the 2020/21 campaign but the fact he wasn’t loaned out suggest Mikel Arteta does have a role for him.
It could mean that he will be utilised in the Europa League and facing the Irish outfit could give him a good chance to regain some confidence and match sharpness.
Smith Rowe enjoyed a loan spell at Huddersfield Town for the second half of last season after impressing at RB Leipzig during the 2018/19 campaign.
His loan spells have seen him play in a number of positions and one challenge for Arteta will be to decide where he sees a future for him at Arsenal.
The 20-year-old has played 12 times for the Gunners, scoring three goals and he does look set for a bright future at the Emirates Stadium.
With Arsenal winning last week in Rapid Vienna they’ll be keen to put another three Europa League points on the board against Dundalk.
Plenty of changes are expected on Thursday night and many supporters want the youngster to start.
I'd start him in the prem tbh, we need something different and one thing I praise emery for is his belief in youth. ESR, Neslon, Saka, Martinelli, Willock all got minutes in the first team. I hope Mikel sees the light soon

Give this man here minutes in EL. Put partey and ceballos behind him, irrespective of the opponent. He's seems to be the only creative player in d squad rn. Use him.

Definitely. No disrespect to Dundalk, but this is a game we should be winning at a canter, so why not? Auba would probably be on the bench anyway, so surely we should be giving all the younger guys some game time.
