Arsenal fans want Chris Wilder after Sheffield United display

A number of Arsenal fans took to Twitter during Sheffield United’s draw on Sunday to suggest that they would welcome the Gunners sacking Unai Emery and replacing him with Chris Wilder.

Emery’s future at the Emirates looks to have a massive question mark hanging over it. Arsenal have not won a league game since early October and needed a late equaliser to earn a point against struggling Southampton at the weekend.

One of the sides sat above Arsenal in the Premier League is Wilder’s Blades. They moved back ahead of the Gunners after an enthralling 3-3 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.

The newly-promoted side were outstanding for large parts of the contest. And they got their rewards as they took a 2-0 lead inside the first hour at Bramall Lane.

They were then stunned as the visitors scored three times in seven minutes to take the lead. But Oli McBurnie would find an equaliser in the dying minutes to ensure that the points were shared.

Sheffield United have now taken points from Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and now Manchester United. And only a goalkeeping error denied them a point against Liverpool.

And with the Blades playing some fantastic football at times, plenty of Arsenal fans have insisted that they would much rather have the Englishman as manager than Emery.

Here is what some of the Arsenal supporters were saying during and after Sheffield United’s draw…
