Arsenal fans want Borussia Dortmund right-back Achraf Hakimi

Arsenal could be after a new right-back this summer with Hector Bellerin linked with an exit over the coming months – and Gunners supporters want Borussia Dortmund defender Achraf Hakimi as his replacement.

Italian outlet FC Inter News have claimed that Inter Milan want to sign 25-year-old Bellerin, who has only managed 14 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions this season – due to a number of injuries.

But Inter are not the only side interested in the three-time Spain international. Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid are also interested in using Bellerin to rival ex-Tottenham star Kieran Trippier, as are Spanish side Sevilla.

The Gunners did sign Cedric Soares in the January transfer window on an initial loan that is expected to be made permanent in the summer. Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Sokratis and Calum Chambers have also been used at right-back this season.

If Bellerin leaves, then, a potential replacement could be Borussia Dortmund loanee Hakimi. Joining Dortmund from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018, Hakimi has starred in multiple positions – but is due to return to Madrid this summer.

Indeed, Hakimi has had a hand in 27 goals during 65 Dortmund appearances – most of which have come from right-back. This season, he has 10 assists in 37 games, and Gunners fans want the Morocco international if Bellerin departs.

Spanish newspaper Marca claim Real Madrid want £53million for Hakimi.
