Arsenal begin their Premier League season with a trip to Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon – and some of their fans on Twitter have claimed in the build-up they would like to see summer signing Willian start.
The Gunners travel to newly-promoted Fulham at the weekend to commence the league campaign and will be hoping to continue with their recent momentum.
Mikel Arteta’s side have won both the FA Cup and FA Community Shield recently to show their progress as a squad, so the target this season surely has to be to break back into the top four spots in the league.
The North London club have strengthened during the summer transfer window so far and managed to snap up Brazilian attacker Willian, who was a free agent after his contract with rivals Chelsea had expired.
Willian, 32, is a proven Premier League performer that has now made the move to the Emirates Stadium after seven years with Chelsea.
He’s a versatile attacker that can play in wide or central positions and he had a strong individual campaign last year, scoring 11 goals and supplying nine assists across all competitions.
