Arsenal fans urge Mikel Arteta to sign Malang Sarr as links emerge

Arsenal have held talks to sign free agent Malang Sarr but according to Goal, the Gunners haven’t tabled a contract to the player.

The defender is available without a transfer fee after leaving Nice last month following the end of his contract.

It seems likely that Arsenal will target defenders in the summer and another centre-back is seemingly on the horizon.

Sarr already boasts 119 first-team appearances to his name, having burst through the youth ranks at Nice.

The Gunners have improved under Mikel Arteta, although he knows that ultimately he will be judged properly on next season.

Sarr is widely regarded as one of the best wonderkid defenders in Europe and will probably have a queue of clubs lining up for him.

Arsenal’s chances of qualifying for Europe next season are rather slim and that could hinder their transfer prospects.

Following the latest link, the Gunners supporters have been discussing whether they’d take Sarr at the Emirates.

It would seem many are unsure whether Arsenal have the right pulling power, although lots have urged Arteta to do all he can to complete the deal.
