Arsenal fans urge club to sign Ousmane Dembele on Twitter

The forward has attracted attention after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly said it was his dream to play alongside him.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has told Arsenal he will sign a new contract but only if the club matches his ambitions in the transfer market, according to Le10 Sport,

After scoring twice in the weekend win over Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, Aubameyang has called on the Gunners to attract players with star quality and fancies linking up with Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele.

It is thought that Aubameyang has a dream to play alongside the 23-year-old and Dembele has struggled to pose an impact at the Nou Camp.

Although he cost Barcelona £135.5 million in 2017, injuries have hampered his chances of regular game time.

In 74 appearances for the Catalan giants, he has scored 19 goals and registered 17 assists; featuring on either the right or left flank.

The report does suggest that Dembele doesn’t want to leave Barcelona, although that decision could be taken out of his hands.

Both Lautaro Martinez and Neymar are wanted at Barcelona and to finance those deals they will need to shift some players first.

That could be music to the ears of Aubameyang who has called on Arsenal to spend big this summer – starting with Dembele.

Spanish outlet Sport claimed in May that Barcelona would accept £37 million for the player paid £200,000-a-week.

Following these reports, Arsenal fans have been discussing on Twitter whether or not Dembele would be any good at the Emirates Stadium.

Here is a selection of what the Gunners faithful are Tweeting.
