Arsenal are reportedly interested in Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are keen on bringing him to the Emirates Stadium.
According to Sky Sports, the Gunners and Everton are both keen on the 24-year-old from Premier League rivals Southampton.
It is also understood that Tottenham want to sign the Denmark international and consider him a summer target.
The report explains that efforts have been made to see whether a deal could take place in January, but his exit from St Mary’s is more likely to happen in the summer.
Hojbjerg has been in English football since 2016 since joining Southampton from Bayern Munich and has established himself as a consistent performer in the Premier League.
The central midfielder is captain of the current Saints team and is an ever-present under manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.
He is an all-action star that can offer plenty of protection in front of the back four with aggression and tackling, while he’s also confident in possession too.
Hojbjerg, who earns £50,000-a-week (Spotrac), will see his current deal with Southampton expire in 2021.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media believe that he would be a great addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad if they could win the race for him.
