Arsenal have undoubtedly struggled without Bukayo Saka.
Ever since the England international tore his hamstring during the 5-1 win at Crystal Palace in December, the Gunners have crashed out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle, and will potentially go nine points behind Liverpool in the Premier League on Wednesday if the Reds win their game in hand at Everton.

The Arsenal No.7 was enjoying such a strong 2024/25 campaign before his injury, impressively scoring nine goals while also providing 13 assists in just 24 appearances.
Ethan Nwaneri has done well in replicating what Bukayo Saka typically offers Mikel Arteta when cutting inside from the right flank – but there is no doubt Arsenal are missing the Hale End graduate.
Now – however – Arsenal have posted an encouraging update of the winger “stepping up” his rehabilitation in the gym, although fans quickly picked up on one “crazy” detail…
Arsenal fans alarmed by size of Bukayo Saka hamstring scar
The 23-year-old needed to undergo an operation to repair his hamstring, and the lasting impact of that surgery is there for all to see.
Firstly, one Arsenal fan described Saka’s scar as “crazy” when reacting on X (previously known as Twitter).
A second Arsenal fan then wrote “oh my days” in apparent shock at the scar, before adding: “Awful awful stuff.”
Two more Arsenal supporters were shocked by the photo, writing “that scar man” – with the other exclaiming “wow” at the sight.
A fifth Arsenal fan also wrote “oh my days” in response.
Last but not least, a sixth added: “That scar (crying emoji). Three years of consistently carrying Mikel Arteta’s RW (right-wing).”
When is Bukayo Saka expected to return?
An Arsenal insider initially wrote that Saka may not return until the middle of March after tearing his hamstring.

However, a newer update from The Sun states that Saka is targeting a return for the beginning of March – specifically the first leg of Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash.
