Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has been criticised after his performance on Saturday afternoon.

Guendouzi lined up in Arsenal’s midfield but he struggled to take control of the game. Leicester City were the much better side and they won 2-0 at The King Power Stadium.

The pressure is mounting on Unai Emery but the players were also slated on Twitter. Several Arsenal players were disappointing against Leicester and Guendouzi was one of those.

Up against a talented Leicester midfield, the Frenchman struggled to assert his influence. The likes of Wilfred Ndidi, James Maddison and Youri Tielemans were able to dictate the game.

Guendouzi has been a regular for Arsenal this season. Emery rates the 20-year-old highly and often has him in the starting line-up. But he was not at his best against the Foxes.

Arsenal fans will be hoping it is just a blip for Guendouzi and he returns to his best form after the international break. Here are some tweets discussing Guendouzi’s performance at Leicester.
