A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to slate Alan Shearer’s selection for his Premier League Team of the Week.
The Gunners ran out 4-0 winners over Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, a dominant display in which they boasted close to 70 percent possession.
Mikel Arteta’s charges struggled to break their opponents down by the break but the floodgates opened in the second half with two quick salvos.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring in the 54th minute before Nicolas Pepe added a second three minutes later.
Mesut Ozil then made it three in the 90th minute and Alexandre Lacazette added a fourth deep into injury time.
The German midfielder was particularly impressive for Arsenal on the day, overcoming a slow start to become a major outlet in working the ball forward, not to mention his goal.
Nonetheless, the Premier League legend and BBC Sport pundit went with just two Arsenal players – Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka – in his XI, on the flanks of a four-man midfield.
Some Arsenal fans had their say on social media:
No Ozil or Ceballos?…looool

Ozil had a better game than Pepe! Why he not in the team?
