A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to respond to Kieran Tierney’s message after the summer signing made his return to the pitch for the Gunners’s under-23s on Friday.
Arsenal supporters have had to wait for Tierney’s debut for Unai Emery’s side. The Mirror reports that the Europa League finalists spent £25 million on signing the left-back from Celtic, but he has only just started training with the first-team after undergoing surgery before his switch.

However, it appears that his Arsenal bow could be close. The Scotland international played just over an hour of the under-23s’s clash with Wolves this week.
Tierney took to social media to express his delight at getting back out onto the pitch. And it is clear that the large majority of Arsenal supporters are just as pleased to see the youngster edge closer to a return.

The Gunners have not kept a domestic clean sheet since the opening day of the season. And it was their defensive issues that cost them a 2-0 lead at Watford last weekend.
There are still going to be issues in the middle for Emery to resolve. But Tierney coming back – along with Hector Bellerin, who also played against Wolves – is clearly seen as a major boost for the Gunners.
Here is Tierney’s tweet after he made his return, as well as some of the best comments from the supporters…
