Unai Emery can seemingly do no right, as many Arsenal fans took issues with his assessment of Southampton ahead of Saturday’s game.
The Gunners play host to Ralph Hasenhuttl’s struggling Saints, with both sides pretty desperate for three points.

Arsenal have gone five games without a win, and the pressure is cranking up on Emery with the top four teams already beginning to break away.
Speaking ahead of the clash, he said of second-bottom Southampton (football.london): “Every team is very difficult in the Premier League and I think they need points because they are not in the best moment but they are playing better away than at home.
“They are very competitive away. They lost 2-1 to Manchester City in the last minute, they won at Sheffield United and also lost in the last moment against Tottenham.”

“I think they will be very motivated to achieve the three points against us but I think we also need to impose and show our gameplan and intensity against them in 90 minutes on Saturday”
Arsenal fans react
A number of Arsenal fans have taken issue with Emery branding Southampton ‘competitive’ away.
The Saints have won four out of their nine away games in all competitions, which is not bad.
But some are fearing that Emery’s comments will mean he sets his team up the wrong way.
