Arsenal fans reckon 27-year-old’s absence at kit launch is a sign

Crystal Palace have launched their new three new kits for the 2020-21 campaign on Friday with the likes of Jordan Ayew, Jeffrey Schlupp and Christian Benteke posing – but Arsenal fans have reacted to Wilf Zaha’s absence.

With the 2020-21 Premier League campaign now fast approaching, clubs are beginning to get more involved in the transfer market and preparations for the new season – including announcing new kits.

Palace announced theirs, which sees the red and blue stripes somewhat thicker. They also confirmed a new white away kit, and a third kit which is predominantly black – with a red stripe down the middle and blue under the arms.

As aforementioned, Benteke, Ayew and Schlupp were pictured – as were Nathan Ferguson and Joel Ward. But 27-year-old attacker Zaha was not involved in the kit launch, amid reports he wants to leave Selhurst Park.

The Sun claimed earlier this week that while Arsenal are keen on Zaha, the emergence of Bukayo Saka could make a deal less of a priority. The Times, meanwhile, claim Palace may cash in on Zaha for a fee of just £40million.

Back in 2019, The Sun have quoted Zaha as saying he is an Arsenal fan. Now, Gunners fans reckon his absence from the Palace kit launch on Twitter is a sign that the former Manchester United star could leave.
